Nature is the star on this small volcanic island. Enjoy the afternoon on the beach or follow the island's famous wine trail, tasting as you go. This, the most northerly of the Canary Islands, welcomes you with laid-back hospitality and genuine warmth. This region of petrified lava makes up the National Park of Timanfaya and its Mountains of Fire, where visions of a lifeless, prehistoric earth, with enormous craters of an incandescent red color, can be seen on a bus or even a camel tour.  This unique atmosphere has made it a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most impressive natural parks in all of Spain.

Lanzarote, Walking on the Moonscape of Lanzarote

Discover the amazing world of volcanoes. You will depart from the pier for the 30-minute drive to Los Volcanes Nature Park together with Timanfaya National Park are the protected areas which represent the recent and historical volcanoism of Lanzarote because they are covered by the eruptions that took place in 1730-36 and 1824. On your guided tour with a very informative leader you will be able to discover this fascinating world of volcanoes as you walk across lava flows or ascend to volcanic cones where it's possible to find spectacular craters, lava tunnels, lava lakes, etc. All the volcanic structures are well conserved due to the arid climate of Lanzarote. The evolution of vegetation is very slow therefore the landscape you will find is like a huge open-air museum of volcanology. Also it will be possible to understand the slow but constant rebirth of life upon the lava, and will help you to understand how our planet looked millions of years ago and how its inner forces were at work, at the same time, you will marvel at a landscape of another world. Please note: This tour is not wheelchair accessible. For this route it is essential to wear laced shoes like trainers or hiking boots because we walk over volcanic rocks with a rough surface. Mineral water will be provided, however we recommended bringing fruit or energy bars.

Lanzarote is known as the Mithic Island, since the volcanic relief has sculpted breathtaking landscapes of almost lunar beauty. Then on to Bodegas Rubicon, the most important area of vineyards in Lanzarote. The old winery was built in the 17th century and went through several renovations until the year 2000. Their vineyards are part of a protected natural area and its fruit is combined with traditional and modern techniques to make a wine of high quality . You will visit the cellar in La Geria, which constitutes one of the agrarian landscapes more characteristic of Lanzarote and the Archipelago. At the local cellar you will have the opportunity to taste a local wine from local grapes grown from their unique system of irrigation. Please note: Although there are steps at both cellars, there are also ramps, making this tour wheelchair accessible. Minimum age for this tour is 21.

Lanzarote, Natural Wonders of Lanzarote

You will depart from the port of Arrecife, for a 35-minute drive to Mirador de Haria, which looks over the valley of Haria, the village of a thousand palms. Continue to the northern point of the island, and stop at Mirador del Rio, with breathtaking views on the other even smaller islands. The biggest is La Graciosa and the sea arm between Lanzarote and this little island looks like a river. Usually the color of this part of the sea is a different blue than the rest of the sea. You will then head to the Finca Aloe Vera, a pioneer company in Lanzarote using the traditional cultivation of Aloe Vera. Their aim is to become a reference for quality in their promise to respect the environment based on a sustainable development of the island. You will go through the famous lava landscape in "Malpais de la Corona," and will visit Jameos del Agua, located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Vulcano. It owes its name to the existence of an internal lake which constitutes a unique geological formation. The tour concludes with a visit to the spectacular Cactus Garden, where thousands of cacti from around the world are showcased in a former volcanic quarry transformed by famed local artist César Manrique. As darkness falls over Funchal, the island of Madeira transforms into a wonderland of light and festivity on this enchanting Christmas evening tour. Begin with a panoramic drive through the city's dazzling illuminated streets, where spectacular seasonal displays capture the magic of Madeira's beloved holiday traditions, before heading west along the coast to the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos — famously painted by Sir Winston Churchill — glittering with its own festive lights and timeless coastal character. From there, a short drive brings you to Restaurant O Lagar, where a warm Madeiran welcome awaits alongside a feast to remember: bolo do caco, fresh salad, chips, fried maize and rice, followed by the star of the evening — traditional Espetada, succulent skewered beef slow-cooked over an open fire and served on a grand skewer, paired with local red wine, beer, or soft drinks, and rounded off with a choice of fresh fruit salad, chocolate mousse, pineapple pudding, or passionfruit pudding, plus coffee and a tasting of Poncha, Madeira's iconic local spirit. The evening reaches its joyful finale with a lively folk dance performance, as dancers in vibrant traditional costumes bring Madeiran culture brilliantly to life — and guests are warmly invited to join in.

What to Bring: Camera, comfortable clothing, and a sense of festive spirit. This tour is available during Funchal's overnight port call. Please note: restaurant venue and menu are subject to change.
